My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Kansas. I am a seventeen year old female, I'm also 8 months pregnant. Prior to becoming pregnant, I lived with my dad and step-mom who both suffer from severe addiction problems. Recently, about four months back, we all sat down and decided it was best for both me and my son to move into my boyfriends house. He works an industrial blue-collar job, has his own house, pays his own bills, and supports himself as well as the baby and I. He also keeps his house clean and safe, whereas my dad's house is not. Here lately my dad and his wife have been saying that they are thinking about making me move back into their house to have "parental guidance" in raising my son and often threaten to take legal action. Which would make you laugh if you knew either of them. I've talked to my mom(she's in the air force and is currently stationed in California) and she too wishes for me to stay in my boyfriends house. Because I'm not 18, can I legally live on my own? And if its not legal, what are my other options?
