    Default Tenant Evicted and Owes Rent for the Remainder of the Month Security Notice

    Hello All,

    Florida

    I am preparing a security notice claim letter to a tenant who was evicted because of unpaid rent over 2 months. The tenant's last day in the rental unit was day 2 of August. My question is, does the tenant owe for the remainder of the month or do I prorate for the 2 days only. Also, do I include court fees in the letter?

    This is a month-to-month tenancy, or an eviction part of the way through the lease term? Have you re-rented the unit and, if so, as of what date? What does your lease provide in relation to court costs?
