My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: North Carolina

Good Afternoon,

I have spent numerous hours attempting to research the grounds for a recent ticket I received, and I thought I would turn to my peers. In July of this year, I was traveling home at approximately 11:00 pm. I knew cops would be heavy because it was the same night of a local Kenney Chesney concert. I was heading eastbound on NC Hwy 42 and was five minutes from home when I saw blue lights in the mirror. The officer informed me that he had pulled me over because of an improper lane change. Improper Lane Change??? I was totally confused and blown away because the entire stretch of road from where I departed to where I was going, was a two-lane highway, therefore, making a lane change is not even possible. I feel I was the victim of an over-eager cop on concert night, and was unjustly charged. What evidence do I need to take with me to my court date. Is it enough evidence that the road I was travelling was only a two-lane highway making lane changes impossible?

I appreciate in advance your time and consideration in this matter.

Signed,

Innocent n NC
