Default Mortgage Company Trying to Lift Relief of Stay

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: New Jersey

My mortgage company won't take any more payments from me because I am 3 months behind on my mortgage and said they are having their lawyers file a most to lift the stay of relief. I have the payments and tried to work it out with them but they won't because they said their lawyers were already contacted.

My attorney confirmed they haven't filed yet. Should I try to send the payments anyway and see if they just apply them? If they don't, will I lose my money?

You should follow the instruction given to you by your lawyer. Your lawyer is in the best position to tell you if there's any chance that your lender will reinstate the mortgage or if you'll simply be out the additional three payments in addition to being foreclosed upon.
