My question involves an easement in the state of: Texas / Denton Cty
What is the general rule of thumb with easements and Utility companies? I have a 5' utility easement on my Survey for my residence. However, if you measure from the property line to where DigTess has marked the Gas Main, it's easily 7' from the property line.
This is using much needed space I want to use for an inground pool project. Do I have a leg to stand on in asking (or even more forcefully demanding) that Atmos move the main into the utility easement?
Or would contacting them pretty much just be a waste of time?
