    Question Firing a Band Member

    My question involves business law in the state of: Utah

    What is the band's obligation to a fired member who has contributed an appoximate of 39% in investments to the band including work on website and printed material?

    Did you have a written agreement? If not, you were still likely involved in a partnership. Any time two or more people work together to generate revenues and profit, they are engaged in a partnership. How to quantify a particular partner's percentage of participation is difficult without a written agrement. That's the stuff lawsuits are made of.
