    Unhappy Email and Phone Harassment

My question involves defamation in the state of: Florida
For the last 9 months I've been harassed by indecent emails, phone calls from an ex boyfriend. He claims I stole his belongings (not true, they were give to me as gifts) and maintains my personal belongings in his house claiming that I need to pay $2.500 to have my things back. Because I was not answering his emails, he started to harass my friends and ex-employers. I am trying to move on and I am overly stressed and hurts me to see this is happening to my friends an innocent people that has nothing to do with it.
    Thank you for you advice.

The practical answer is to change your number and email address. You could also report his actions to the local police. If it becomes severe enough, you can also file for a restraining order.
