My question involves criminal law for the state of: Massachusetts
To make a long story short, I had just arrived at the beach with some friends on the fourth of July. I had to urinate excessively bad, so I went in the corner of the parking lot that we parked in. There was nobody around me for 1,000 or feet or so ... except a state trooper that was hidden across the st in a median. I urinated, he came up to me all po'd thinking that he was about to get me for a DUI. No alcohol was involved. I wasn't arrested or searched or anything, but I was told that I was being cited for "indecent exposure" and that I would receive a summons in two weeks. It's been almost three weeks since, and I haven't received anything. My mail goes to my permanent residence, although I don't live there. They said they store everything that comes for me aside, but I'm not sure if they've missed it, or if it was never sent? ::nerveracking::
Who do I go to, to see if there were charges filed for my case, and whether I have a court date or not? I just don't want to miss it if I do, I have an attorney lined up if I receive it, but he told me only to call him if I actually end up getting the thing. I'm getting nervous!
Thanks in advance.
