My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Minnesota.
So I got a DUI about 5 days before the 3-week State shutdown in Minnesota and after my 7 day license was up I abided by the laws and have not driven for the last month. Well I was going to the go to the DMV the other day and get a work license so I won't have to ask for rides to my job which is 17 miles away and found out that my license is currently still valid due to the shutdown and backed up paperwork. Now I have been told that it will probably be revoked in the next week and then I have to wait another 2 weeks before I can apply for a work permit. Does anybody know anyways around this and does anybody know if the driving suspension for the actual DUI charge starts at the point when I originally lost my license or when I get convicted (if I do get convicted)?
