    Question Paternity Fraud

My question involves paternity law for the State of: Indiana
Is it illegal to sign paternity affadavit and b.c. application as the father when theres no way you could be the father so you and your girlfriend can take the child to raise because the mother doesn't want the child? The childs actual father was told the pregnancy was aborted so he doesn't know the child exists. Didn't have money for lawyer for guardianship proceedings and wouldn't be granted adoption due to living conditions.

    Yes, that's completely illegal.

It's a misdemeanor called "fraud", which could result in criminal prosecution, fines and fees, probation, and a nifty criminal record.

And further, this would such a blatant and deliberate attempt at parental alienation that it's not unfeasible for the putative father - once he finds out (and he likely will) - could end up with custody of the child.

I realize what this man, his girlfriend, and the biological mother have done is illegal, immoral, and downright dirty. The question is what can I do about it? The man and girlfriend who have the child live in a house unsafe for habitation (ie: ceilings caving in, holes in exterior walls that you can see through from street into house, no electric or water for almost a year), neither have a job and haven't for quite a while, and man has 2 biological children that he doesn't support and owes a lot of support on. I'm really worried about this baby being in this couples care for a lot of reasons, the above being just a few, but what can I do or who do I contact?

    Call CPS.

Call the police to report an illegal adoption.
