My question involves criminal law for the state of: Tennessee
I am currently on a deferred sentence from Colorado. My probation was downgraded to an unsupervised status and I was allowed to move to Tennessee. I am in the process of establishing residency here, and would like to get my driver's license changed over. Does anyone know if I will have any problems at the DMV due to my deferred sentence? My fines and fees were all paid and I have remained law abiding, but I have approximately a year remaining on the deferred sentence. Will I be able to do this without a problem? Does anyone know whom I should contact regarding this process -- CO or the TN DMV? Thanks!
