Default Re: I have a Joint credit card account with a sibling who won't pay his past due acco

It's up to you to show the court that you don't have, didn't purchase, or don't use those items. If a bill is for phone charges, get the number called and prove it is your siblings friend. That might show your sibling made the call, since you would not have called that number, etc.

Well, phone charges would probably be one of the simpler things to prove. What about those more difficult things that I would have to prove to the court that I didn't purchase.....I mean for example, there's charges for things like gas and fast food and clothes and cash advances....I understand that I have to prove I didn't purchase alot of items, but how the heck am I suppose to prove I don't use or purchase those products like gas or fast food ? Im afraid that if I go to court, without any real proof showing I didn't make that cash advance or buy gas on the card, it's just my word against his ..............Please Help!!!!! Any advice, big or small will be appreciated......

As co-signer/borrower, you agreed to maintain the account without conditions. With your signature, you guaranteed payments would be made in a timely manner, regardless of who made the purchases.
