    Post Where Do I File

My question involves small claims court in the state of: WA

I reside in Clark County, had a roommate of 6 months that signed legal lease of a year with me.

He has not paid me in 2 months, bills and rent included. He recently went on a business trip to a different state, after two months of barely hearing from him he is now residing at this new location.

Do I pursue the claim where we both still reside (since he is still technically on the lease, getting mail, and has his property still at the apartment) or do I need to file where he currently is.

    Thank you!

You can file in Clark County, as that's where the cause of action accrued.
