Default If I'm Sixteen Can I Legally Go to College Out of State

My question involves education law in the State(s) of: Indiana and New York.
I'm fifteen currently, living in Indiana.
I'm graduating next year at sixteen and intend to attend college in New York City.
I need to know if this is legal, and if it's not; can I become emacipated for educational purposes? My mother is fully supportive of my career goals, and everyone believes in my ability to take care of myself.
I'm competent and mature enough to handle this, I just want to make sure I do it right.
I would appriciate any help someone can give me on this issue.

You can live wherever your mother gives you permission to live. Keep in mind that she can also revoke that permission at any time until you're 18. There is no such thing as emancipation for educational purposes.

The trick here is to convince a landlord rent to you. Or are you going to live in the dorms (and do you meet the minimum age requirements to do so)?
