Default Still Waiting on Decision After Second Adjustment of Status Interview

    Hi all,

Just wonder is our case a little long. Here is our timeline

Submitted package to Chicago office Jan 24, 2011

    1st Interview scheduled April 4th

2nd Interview scheduled May 14th (Separated and interviewed separately)

It has been just about 2 mos since our "Stokes" interview and we are still waiting. Just wonder if there is anything else? We had a lawyer at both interviews and our lawyer felt everything was fine. During the 2nd interview our lawyer suggest that USCIS come with us to our apartment after the interview. The officer then finished the interview, we basically matched all our questions. Afterwards we were lead back to the waiting room where the officer wanted to ask the supervisor to have someone come back to our apartment. Our lawyer was running late for another appoint and left feeling good that our case was fine. After our lawyer left, the office came back out and did another Stokes interview for 10 more mins each. Afterwards said to wait a couple of weeks for the his response. Now it is mid July and still no work. We've done a infopass and call customer service and was transferred to supervisors. All everyone has told us is to wait. I'm just trying to find ways to see if I can get an actual response from USCIS and not the generic replies. My lawyer said a letter from him will go out in August if we still haven't heard anything. Again, our interview was at the San Jose, CA location.

Thanks for any input or help anyone can give.

We cannot give you a better answer on this than your lawyer. You haven't received any bad news, or any follow-up requesting additional information, so if your lawyer still thinks everything looks good there's no compelling reason to disagree.
