My question involves an easement in the state of: California
I live on a private lane, with other landowners bordering US Forest Service land. The entrance to the Forest Service property is at the end of the lane right across from my house. The Forest Service is open to the public. They installed parking places outside their gate on their side if the easement. The working facility shuts down at 3:00pm and we continue to be inundated with traffic as well as cars parking outside the gate at night. It is like living in a mall parking lot! What right does an easement holder get to allow public access and not police the traffic they allow? Is there a way to legally limit the amount of public access or control the time access is allowed? I have contacted both the county and city and cannot get any advice. It seems neither wants to deal with it.
Thank you,
Wayja
