You will need to speak to a Russian lawyer about the consequences to you if you choose to participate in Russian divorce proceedings, and whether a Russian court would allow you to participate in relation to the divorce without also litigating any claims that your wife may have against the marital estate. If she gets a judgment in Russia with your participation, she may be able to enforce property distribution provisions (albeit after overcoming your objections to the domestication of the judgment) in the U.S. - I don't want to speculate about future litigation and judgments that do not yet exist. If the Russian divorce doesn't address marital property, it would be possible for her to bring an ancillary action in New York to try to get her share of the marital estate - we aren't in a position to know what that might be or if such an action would be worth the time and expense.
You should consider filing for and obtaining a divorce, yourself, such that you're not waiting for her to act.
