My question involves a marriage in the country of Russia: I am a US citizen, I married a Russian woman 6 months ago, in Russia, and have reason to believe that the marriage to me was only to get into the US. (I know, I know... what was I thinking?) I have not submitted any paperwork on her behalf to bring her to the US. I have already informed her that I will not submit paperwork for her and she needs to file the required paperwork for divorce in Russia.

I have 2 questions: A) If she does the right thing and files for divorce in Russia what are her legal rights (if any) in the United States, ie. since she is a Russian citizen can she try to get any financial compensation from me such as alimony even though the marriage was only on paper and in Russia? B) If she refuses to file divorce papers in Russia, what are the chances of my getting the marriage annulled seeing that I have no written proof that she married me for fraudulent reasons. I live in the state of Virginia which does allow annulments for fraud but apparently proof is required and I have nothing in writing to support my claim.

Basically I don't care about getting divorced at this point, but I don't want this person to benefit financially from it since the intention was fraud.
