My question involves an easement in the state of:Texas Like in the post before this, I own a piece of property that 3 other families go through to access their properties. The one next to me looks like the heirs are wanting to maybe sell it as there is no good way to divide it up evenly. I am worried about it being sold and then maybe becoming a subdivision with numerous houses on the 160 acres. They do not have a written easement to go through about a quarter mile of my property. The lane they use is around 20 ft wide and is fenced on both sides. If I would give them an easement in writing could I stipulate that that would be all the easement they would ever get and it could never be any wider.
