    Default My personal storage

My entire building is in an uproar because there was a notice given that starting immediately the basement door will be locked from the hours of 9pm until 9am. The reason for this is unknown, although we suspect that it is our first floor neighbor complaining about any squeak or creak they hear during the night when someone brings down their garbage, washes their clothes, or goes to their storage space. What I want to know is wether or not it is legal to lock tenants away from their personal belongings so early at night or at all for that matter?

    Default Locking Basement

If the basement is a storage area, and access to the storage area is part of your lease, that would seem a relatively significant change. Is there a tenants' union operating in your area? If so, they may be able to provide some specific guidance.
