    Exclamation Age of Consent Exemption

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida

I looked up the age of consent laws in florida and this is what I got.
"The age of consent in Florida is 18, but close in age exemptions exist. By law, the exception permits a person 23 years of age or younger to engage in legal sexual activity with a minor aged 16 or 17."
Does this interpret that if a female is 16 and she is involved with a 20 yo that it is legal?

We don't answer these types of questions here.

I recommend you ask the parents of the minor in question.

What do you mean you dont answer these types of questions? And I have spoken with her parent. Is it legal with consent?

I mean that this board doesn't tell potential lovers whether or not sex is legal. We don't play that game.

Parents cannot make the illegal legal... only the legal illegal.

You should also notice that I used the plural... parents.

Sir I dont know what you are getting at but could you answer my question or I'll ask it elsewhere. All I am asking is if both parents consent is it legal for a 16 yo to be with a 20 yo?

Please do not reply to my thread again. I simply asked a question I was not looking for confrontation. I'll get my answer elsewhere.

    Exclamation Exemption

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
A friend of my daughters is dating a man that I personally think is too old but I looked up the age of consent laws in florida and this is what I got.
"The age of consent in Florida is 18, but close in age exemptions exist. By law, the exception permits a person 23 years of age or younger to engage in legal sexual activity with a minor aged 16 or 17."
Does this interpret that if a female is 16 and she is involved with a 20 yo that it is legal with both parents consent?
Please only serious answers and dont judge the situation.

Between your question and your inability to understand or follow the forum rules, one might infer that you're not very bright.

No, the child's parents cannot make it legal for you to rape their daughter. Sorry.

I am a female so i wont be raping anyone's daughter but thanks for your apology. And what rules did I break by asking a question?

And you shouldnt assume things. I didnt break any rules and I am a bystander to the situation.
