My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: New York City (Manhattan)
We dropped someone off on a block in Manhattan every weekday at around 7:30am for about 2 straight weeks. The block was adjacent to a bus lane so we stopped temporarily in the bus lane for at most 5 seconds to drop this person off. You are not allowed to enter the bus lane from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
1. We were unaware of this law.
2. We did not know we were being photographed for the duration of the time we stopped there.
3. We just received a fine in the mail yesterday, the July 12, regarding the traffic offense, which was committed a month ago, June 13.
Had we known about the time constraints, the camera, and/or the fine earlier, we would have definitely stopped entering the lane. We have since stopped (since July 5), but now will undoubtedly receive multiple traffic violation fines ($115) for the same offense everyday for about 2 weeks.
Is there anything we can do to appeal the traffic violations except for the first one? We can't really afford to pay off that hefty of a fine.

Any help or advice is appreciated
Thanks
