Emancipation for a 17 Year Old with Possible Pregnancy

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Oklahoma

My parents are very controlling and verbally abuse me to the point where i hate coming home. i get in arguments with them almost every day and i hate how its affecting my family.

The cops were called today and they said my only option is emancipation, and that my parents can pin me down if i am a threat and can use any force they want if they feel its necessary.

I have a job, i turn 18 in 10 months, i have places i can live, and i already pay for all my bills. do i qualify to be emancipated or is it a waste of time? would i need a lawyer? Please help

Also, i may be pregnant.

You're 17 and possibly pregnant - this tells the court that you need more and not less adult supervision.

Emancipation in Oklahoma gives a youth the ability to enter into contracts.

Period. It does not grant the youth the ability to leave the parental home and/or act outside of parental wishes.

The officer gave more power to the statutes available than there is.
