You have to remember that ordinarily a probation revocation proceeding is governed by a lower standard of proof than that required for a conviction in a criminal case, so just because a person is not charged criminally or the charges are dropped does not mean there can be no revocation of probation.
Your best bet is to have your husband work through his attorney and make a deal with the prosecutor to see whether your husband can remain on probation, with perhaps additional conditions being added, in lieu of a revocation of probation. Then you'll have to see whether the court will go along with the recommended disposition.
