I have a little time... and there is so much wrong that I can't walk away...
So all adults should just walk away when a child is being raped.
Incorrect. She is too young to provide consent. If she stripped naked in front of him and BEGGED to be schtupped right there so that she could post her video of the begging on YouTube, it is still rape. It's not officially rape, if the girl had a say-so in the act.
Doesn't matter. She cannot provide consent. She is fifteen years old, did she SAY she was raped? NO, they are TOGETHER, as in dating.
Oh, I knew that.Although, I am no attorney at ALL
So if enough people thought it was okay you were raped, it would be okay for you to be raped. How many people have to think your rape is a good thing before it is okay?but if her immediate family, let's say her father, isn't doing anything about it, then I'd advise you not to do anything,
To save a child from rape, that sounds like a heck of a trade.that's just going to ruin your relationship with that girl AND her family.
According to the law, that statement is perfectly accurate.I really disagree with the whole, "She's fifteen, there is no way she knew what she was getting herself into, she's just a child", that's incorrect.
She doesn't know what she is doing or she wouldn't be HAVING a baby and there is no proof that her rapist is taking care of the baby. She knew what she was doing, and she's having a baby, he doesn't seem like he's leaving her with no way to take care of the child or anything.
Actually, the baby and, if necessary, the baby's DNA would provide excellent evidence in court.I think it would be a waste in court
Darn those rape victims being helped. Don't they know that they should just take it?and it could really ruin a family
Wrong. In fact, an underage child requires them, as MANDATORY REPORTERS to contact the authorities. Do you understand what the word "mandatory" means? It means that, legally, it HAS to be their business. If the hospital or any place asks to know the father, that is legally none of their business,
Unless, of course, they are mandatory reporters. And she and her parents call all go to jail for obstructing an investigation...and she does NOT have to tell them a word. Nobody does. Their job is to take care of a young girl pregnant, not find out her life story.
so, what, exactly, did you think this site was for? If you don't know, you should read more and type less.
YOu guys are acting like they are 10 years apart. If there was a 18 year old with a 21 year old that would be fine. Not saying by any means that the gentlemen was right in any way but the age gap is not as big as people are making it out to be. Now a twenty two year old man with a 15 yr old is different. Lets not forget the world todays generation have to grow up in. But not bypassing the law, the man was wrong.
Are you ignoring the VERY OBVIOUS difference in maturity between an 18 year old and a 15 year old?
And do you realize how hypocritical your post is? It's ok for an 18 year old and a 15 year old...it's ok for an 18 year old and a 21 year old...but it's NOT ok for a 22 year old and a 15 yaer old?
Really?
NO, we are acting like the girl is too young, according to the law, to engage in sex.
Beyond that, we are talking about an adult and a minor.
and the guy is no gentleman. A gentleman would have enough decency to not impregnate a female unintentionally
You can call it whatever you want. You know that old "a rose by any other name shall smell as sweet thing". From what I found, Florida calls is molestation of an underage person. It matters not what you call it as long as you realize it is illegal.
You also do not realize but seeing a 15 year old pregnant, in regards to the law, is just like finding a dead body with a knife stuck in it. They are both evidence of a crime. Regardless what mom or dad wants to do, there was a crime committed and if things work like they should, at least the hospital workers will report this to the police. The girls doctor should have already reported it.
So, it matters not if mom or dad wants to condone the girl being taken advantage of by an adult, the system should make sure he is held accountable.
Well, this is where you would be wrong. There is a thing called a mandatory reporter. Most health care workers, teachers, school admin, and many other people fall into the category. They are called mandatory reporters because the state requires them to report a situation such as this. Failure to report such a situation can be professional suicide as it is criminal for them to not report it.If the hospital or any place asks to know the father, that is legally none of their business, and she does NOT have to tell them a word. Nobody does. Their job is to take care of a young girl pregnant, not find out her life story.
but it's ok for an adult to ruin a little girls life by impregnating her when she is still a child.I think it would be a waste in court, and it could really ruin a family.
Yes, the girl probably willingly had sex but that is why the law is as it is. A child is not considered mature enough to be able to make such a decision for themselves. Because of that, an adult is held accountable for their actions. They are who should be saying "no, you are too young", not "hey, who cares how old you are. Let's get it on" because the law does care how old she is even if nobody close to her has the decency to act like a parent and want to protect their child from adults who would take advantage of a minor that does not have the mental maturity to be making such decisions.
You are one hundred percent right and that is why I stated that not bypassing the law he was wrong. But the maturity levels are not that much different between the two. I am not one to say what the law is because I am not an expert but I can say that feelings are cut out of the equation when dealing with the law.

See thats the thing is your not realizing that alot of kids in todays generation dont live in the perfect little world that people hope for. They get neglected and sometimes abused and have to find a means to support themselves. Getting pregnant, or having sex period, is not that means but alot of young girls run towards it anyway.
KatelinNicole:
A few facts:
Likely the girl said yes. HOWEVER, at 15, she is under the AGE OF CONSENT. Because she is 15 and he is 18, it is called STATUTORY RAPE. And the 18 year old can face a lot of prison time, and the rest of his life on the Sex Offender registry.
brydnmoon; stop. Just stop. You are wrong on so many levels you do not even realize yet. All the responders here have been teenagers as well as parents of teenagers - you are only embarrassing yourself when you go on this way.
Just, stop.
