    Default Red Light Photo Ticket

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

I got a ticket in the mail showing my car driving past a red light. I was not driving the car. Also the picture isn't the best quality its very dark and it clearly isn't me driving.

I looked on the internet about how to fight it. All the website's I saw said to check the box on the ticket that states it was me. The only boxes I see are 1. if I had sold the car before the violation or 2. if i will give out the info of the driver of the car. Also the websites say I don't have to give out the information on the driver. So I don't want to. If I check the box for the second option I am afraid I will be bound by law to give out the information since I am agreeing to give the information out.

If anyone has a template on how to write a letter to the judge stating it was me, with out giving the information the driver can you let me use it. I'm not the best at writing.

Also most of the websites were vague as if they weren't intended for certain sates, I tried looking up the laws in California but I just kept getting lost. If anyone can clear this up for me that would help a lot.

    Quick notes :
    Photoenforced ticket, I wasn't driving.
I need help constructing a letter to write to the courts, with all the information I need to put on the letter to fight the ticket.
Not to sure about california laws on the photo enforced tickets.

Post the draft letter you've written and perhaps somebody here will comment on it. It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to say "It's not me, here's a copy of my license so you can see for yourself."

Agreed... Though it is my opinion that Your best option to clear this matter is to appear in court on the date shown on the citation, show you ID, and ask the judge for a dismissal.
