Exclamation Accepting a Contract With One Client, Then Refusing to Start and Working Elsewhere

My question involves independent contractors in the state of: VA

    Hello All,

I'm currently working with client X and got confirmation with Client A and finished bg check and my employer signed the contract. Now, BEFORE I start at client A I got another confirmation (3 days before joining) from client B with better opportunities.

So, I decided to work with Client B and denied to start with client A and now vendor says that you have to join client A no matter what. So, in this situation will vendor for client A can take legal actions against my employer?

In the contract they said have to give 2 week notice. Both vendors are different.

    Need assistance.

    Thanks!

If you are an independent contractor, you can stop working for the company that has contracted for your services. If your contract with them allows them to restrict you from working for certain other companies following the termination of your contract, and you want to do so, have a lawyer in your state review the contract and advise you as to whether it applies to "Client B".

If you're trying to ask something else, please do a better job explaining what is going on.
