Default Ohio home sold today by sheriff foreclosure sale

I was told by a deputy sheriff there; Lake County, that I have at least 90 days to stay in my home, but moving out sooner is wiser. I plan to move in August.

Confirmation of sale can take 90-120 days, but is that really true?

I don't want to come home from work and find all the locks changed, since I have a dog.

I don't have access to a lawyer now, can anyone give me a straight answer on how long I can stay? I have no plans to redeem this "bates motel" of a home.

Your best bet for finding out how long the process takes in your county is to check with a local real estate lawyer.
