I have been a legal permanent resident for four years without any criminal record in the U.S. or elsewhere until 2010. In January 2010 I was arrested and charged with felony indecent exposure. During my case, the charges were reduced to misdemeanor lewd conduct. I was convicted, served 13 days in jail, paid no fine and was sentenced to three years of informal probation. I did not appear before an immigration judge, and my probation does not restrict my travel. The only specific requirement of the probation is that I stay out of trouble during the period. I currently am working.
I would like to travel outside of the United States for pleasure for a maximum of two weeks. My immigration card is valid and I hold a valid passport from my home country. Will I face any re-entry issues upon return to the United States from a two-week stay abroad because of this specific misdemeanor conviction?
