Question Fidelity Bond Eligibility and shoplifting conviction

I am involved in a shoplifting case and want to be prepared in case I'm found guilty.

Since I work in the securities/finanical services/banking arena, I was wondering if I can be denied Fidelity Bonding due to a misdemeanor shoplifting conviction in NY?

I have always worked in these types of companies, and want to continue being eligible for employment.

Will there be a problem if I apply for a new job? Or even keeping my current job?

    My response:

Always remember, in all of your posts on this subject, to state the following - - found in your other posts. It makes responding go more smoothly.

I am currently involved in a shoplifting case, a disorderly persons offense for shoplifting in NJ, but I work in New York, just so you know that states I'm dealing with.

    Thank you.
