    Default Inheritance in Joint Account

My question involves divorce in the State of: CA

After my marriage I inherited a sum of money from my mother and I deposited it into our joint account (I've the bank statement proving the deposit date and amount). The account balance is currently greater than the inheritance. Can my stbex claim the inheritance money as community property?

If money has flowed in and out of the account over a period of years since you married then, yes, he can argue that the inheritance has merged into the marital estate. If you think that's what he intends, talk to your lawyer and formulate a strategy.
