Getting accused of shoplifting off site? Paranoia Abounds!

Don't you think they are more likely to review tapes if they see you in the store a lot? And in this is just a generalization, but would'nt they be more likely to review tapes if you are in a lot and return things a lot without a receipt? Could'nt that red flag a person and make the store want to review past tapes? What is the likelyhood of this happening?

Loss prevention officers are busy people. It would normally take some pretty exceptional circumstances to inspire them to review the tapes.

I've seen scenarios where employees were caught on tape stealing something, called in the next day, then cohersed into signing a confession. The worst case scenario is that the LPO of that store would show your photo to all the employees there and tell them to alert him if you come into the store again. And even then, you'd probably just be asked to leave and not come back again. Also keep in mind not every store prosecutes because they don't have people that are trained to make arrests. I saw someone get caught stealing at Toys R Us recently. The manager recovered the item from the man and told him never to come back to his store.
