Default Does My Wife Need Original Docs to Petition for Me

I came to the USA when I was 17 years old. I am now 28. My wife is a citizen and would like to petition for me. She lost her original documents but have copies of her social and her certificate of natutalization. Would this be sufficient or would she need original docs?

    Thanks.

If she's a citizen, she's a citizen. If you entered lawfully, she can petition to adjust your status.

Your wife needs original documents or certified copies.

What may be the bigger problem is how you entered the country.

I entered the country with a visitor visa and I over stayed. It's been 10 years Since I've been here. Do you think I would be able to adjust my status?

One more tHing, is it possible for my wife to sponsor my mom or can I sponsor her at the same time my wife sponsors me? Someone said it is possible but doesn't seem correct to me.

    OK, that's good.

Marriage generally "forgives" an overstay. Had you EWI (entered without inspection - in other words, illegally) it would have been a different matter. But as long as you both meet all of the other criteria you should be fine.
