My question involves a child custody case from the State of: TN

OK, before I start, in the state of TN. If the couple isn't married, the dad has little to no rights to the child, in terms of visitation, if there is no court order or parenting plan, which there isn't.

I was just wondering if I am being over cautious, if wanting supervised visitation for our child. At first, he came randomly, to see our child. But, now that he has seen that I have moved on, he comes once every month or so. And it's just multiple things, that he does which I don't approve.

1. I found out he took our child(5 years old) to his AA meetings.
2. He is on probation, and recently learned he tested positive for drugs.
3. He just told me that his license has been suspended for years, even though I was allowing him to drive our child everywhere beforehand, unknowingly.
4. He hasn't paid child support(220), this entire year. Our Contempt court date is this August. I mean he didn't even file taxes, because it would come straight to me. He's only a waiter, but still.

Before hand I've allowed him to see our child, whenever he wanted, just so they could have a relationship....But, at this point, I just....have concerns...

Also, without creating a new post, is it possible to change his last name to mine, if things eventually do go south...
