    Default Naturalization Interview

I am applying for naturalization (3 years) under the Spouse program. I have fulfilled the residency requirements and am able to show proof of residency etc. However, as my husband and i are not working, we do not have IRS transcripts for the past 3 years. I have already sent a request to the IRS to send me 1722 - verification of non filing. I very stupidly used white-out on the form and of course the form was returned to me at the end of last week. I have filled out a new form and sent it to IRS. The thing is, the form, i am guessing, will not be able to get back to me in time for my interview. Will the CIS deny my application because i don't have the required transcripts? How long will my application be delayed while they wait for me to send them the transcripts. Please help.

I do not expect that your petition would be dismissed due to your inability to present the documents, but I do expect that your failure to provide them will cause delay. How much delay? That depends upon your diligence and their case load.
