Ok guys seven years ago (three weeks after my 17th birthday) I was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon on school property, which carries a Felony charge in the state of Texas. Im sure I am not the first to say this but, i feel that I was screwed in the situation, and was made an example of...it happened a few months after Colombine (spell?) But anyways, I take full responsability for my actions, in possessing the knife (12in blade with NO handle). Basically my car was searched and after finding a kitchen knife in the back of my blazer they asked if there were anymore, and I confessed after thinking about it( they never would have found it). But to make a long story short, charges dropped to class A misdemeanor...placed on probation/deferred adjutification...completed successfully. My question is, is there any law/rule holding me from being employed as a civil service worker in the state of texas(i.e. Firefighter)
