    Default Immigration Ban List

I have a friend in India who came to the U.S. on a visitor's visa to visit a friend he met online. In an attempt to stay in the U.S. with her, they got married with the intent on him staying in the U.S. At the time of the marriage he was only in the States for 2 months.
Since his deportation he has attempted 3 times to get a visa to return, and 3 times he has been denied.

Is it possible he was flagged for fraud and put on a ban list?

If so, are they obligated to tell him when he keeps reapplying for a visa?

    Any help is appreciated

Default Re: General Question: Immigration Ban List

There's not enough information here to even do anything other than guess. However, with a deportation he's probably got a ten year ban.
You'll need to have him consult an immigration lawyer that can look at the type of visa he originally had, why he was deportd, etc...
Just "asking" to come in during the ban period is an automatic denial. He'll need actual proceedings to get the ban waived.
