Default Minor in P/C in Minnesota

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Minnesota
So last weekend a few of my friends and I were out at the lake drinking. I am currently 18, Ill be 19 in just a week. A neighbor must have called the cops because of the noise and we were all brethalized. I blew a .1 the police officers never gave us a ticket or citation, this leads one of my friends to believe that they where just trying to scare us.

So my question is as follows:
A)Do the officers need to give us anything at the time or do they usually just mail it
B)What exactly does a minor in consumption/possession(cant remember exactly what they said) entail
    C) Is there anyway to get this completely taken off my record, Ive never been in any legal trouble before this whatsover.

You don't need to be issued your citation at the time; you can get one in the mail, get a notice to appear from the court, or be served with a citation at a later date.
