Cool Does Paying Social Security Make You Eligible for Unemployment

I had worked in the US and payed in to social security for 30 years. About 8 years ago, I moved to the Bahamas and began working as a teacher. I still paid taxes on the money I made in the Bahamas. My school may be cutting back. If I am laid off, am I eligible to collect social security? If so, can I look for employment in the Bahamas while I am collecting?

    Default Re: Eligibility for Unemployment

I'm sorry, I'm confused. Are you asking about unemployment benefits, or social security benefits? They are two different things.
