    Default Physical Presence Requirement

I got a green card on June 25, 2007 from that day till today June 15 2011 I have been 648 days in the us and 782 outside the us. I am based in the US but my job requires intensive traveling, at the begining, a lot of 4 days trips and now long trips of maximun 3 months to diferent countries but especially to one in particular as I have some special assigments, projects there.

I understand I need to complete about 912 (365*5)/2 physical presence days in the usa, during the statutory period counts backward five yearsfrom the day of the interview if filng during 90 days earl filing windows or five years backward from the day of the filing if I file after the five year anniversary.

I am planning on spending the remaining days that I am missing to meet the 912 required this year from July 15 to Dec 2010.

DO you see any problem with my application in this case? Would the fact that I have mutliples stays of 2 to 3 months max out of the us lately be a problemm? My job is based out of us, I have a house in the us, pay tax retunrs, pay mortgage, have my bank account all in the us.

    Any help will be appreciated.

If I'm interpreting that correctly, you are asking if your physical presence requirement is measured over the five years from the date of your petition, or over the five years from the date of your interview; and you are planning to file your petition before you have fulfilled the requirement in anticipation of fulfilling the physical presence requirements by the time of your interview. Is that correct?

    I have two questions:

    - If I want to file 90 days prior my 5 year anniversary from what date is calculated the 5 years physical presence period, it is from the day of the interview 5 year backward?
    - I have a lot of 2 -3 months travel during the last two year, would that be a problem with my naturalization application?

    Regards,

    Ana
