My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania
About three weeks ago I received a charge of possesing false identification. I was not trying to buy alchohol, but I was in a liquor store with someone (who is of age) who was trying to buy it. It is considered a summary charge in PA, and I have the option of applying for the Youthful Offenders alchohol class to get the charge dropped from my record.
My question is, is it worth taking the class? I am a resident of Washington State and will be moving back there in about 7 months. I want to know if this charge would show up on a background check or if I would have to claim it on any forms, as it is less than a misdemeanor offense in PA. I have no idea what it is going to show on my record.
Thank you for the help.
