My question involves police conduct in the State of: Tennessee.
Rape suspect was placed in the back seat of investigating detective's car and taken to police station. Suspect was not arrested but not allowed to drive own vehicle. Suspect questioned on the way to police station. Suspect was confined to police car and police station for questioning untill he was told that he was accused of rape. Then suspect stated that he would not answer any furthur questions without an attorney present. Then suspect was again placed into the back seat of detectives car and driven back to work and released. Should detective read suspect his Miranda before placing him in confinement of car? Suspect was detained, confined, held and not free to go at will.
