    Default Pennsylvania DUI

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania

    I was pulled over for dui , my case is coming up in July but I cant afford and attorney and I make $80.00 over the poverty level for any halp.

    Do I need a lawyer, I have never done this and I was stupid but I need help
    Any advice is appreciated.

    If you don't qualify for a public defender which you will ask for at your first court appearance, you'll have to scrape money together for counsel.
    If you can't do that, inquire whether you are eligible for ARD on this charge (If you've got a clean record and there was no aggravating circumstances it should be straight forward).
    With ARD you'll get an evaluation, 60 day license suspension, and period of probation. If you keep yourself clean during that, pay your costs, etc... your charges will go away.
