My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: California

I am the 50% owner of two parcels of raw land. They adjoin each other and roughly the

same size parcels. The other owner went through bankruptcy and now his 50% share is

owned by the bankruptcy court. I have asked the bankruptcy trustee and attorney if

we could each take over 1 parcel each. So instead of 50% ownership each on two

parcels we would each be 100% owners of 1 parcel each. They responded there will

be no swapping of parcels and left it at that.

I wanted to know what rights I have regarding this and what if anything I could do to

make them partition the parcels according to my wishes. I do believe this would

make one parcel easier to sell vs trying to sell both. What partitioning rights do I have?
