My question involves a marriage in the state of: Pennsylvania
I participated in an Un Contested divorce. The attorneys said that I had to fill out the paperwork in my "married" name if ANYTHING of mine contained a name change. My bank accounts were changed to my married name, but that was it. My soc. remained maiden name, as did my drivers license, bills, etc. The bank accounts were the only ones that changed and that was due to having to cash the checks from the reception.
So my divorce decree is in what would have been my married name, but legally I am still under my maiden name. Is this an issue? I am getting re-married in October and do not want anything ruining that day (such as..hmm..you're already listed as being married).
If it is an issue, what do I need to do to ensure that all of my ducks are in a row?
Thank you.
