Default How to Get a Roommate's Boyfriend, Not on Lease, Out of the House

My question involves a roommate in the State of: Oregon

My lease is month-to-month (I've been here for several years and have no desire to move). My current roommate moved in ~8 months ago and brought with him a boyfriend.

At first the BF only stayed for a night or two here and there, then a lot more (6+ nights a week). During the ~8 months they have had 3 escalating breakups/makeups. During the last breakup they got VERY loud (to the point of disturbing the neighbors), physical confrontation and the BF took a knife to his wrist. I called 911, police, ambulance, drama, etc.

Later that day I talk to the roomie and give him a choice- he either needs to move out or the BF is no longer welcome here. The roommate takes the 2nd choice and all is quiet for 2 weeks. Two days ago I get a text from the roommate saying he's having the BF back, I ask if this is his 30 day notice to which he responds with a rant ending in "deal with it" and the BF has been here since.

I've started a dialog with my landlord but he says without a copy of the police report there is nothing he can do (I already tried to get a copy but was denied due to the reports mental health contents). At this point I no longer feel safe with this individual around. I could file a restraining order, but fear retaliation from both parties playing the rainbow and mental health issues cards. Any input?

do you rent just a room in the house? Does this roommate rent a room also? From your landlord?

Its a townhouse and we rent the whole thing, he has one bedroom and I have the other. The landlord is a rep for the 3rd party owner of the property.

    who rents the whole thing?

If you rent the whole thing, then the roommate has to be your tenant. If the roommate isn't your tenant, then you do not rent the whole thing.

    are there written leases?

I see, so without double checking my rental agreement (copy of which was requested from the landlord) I should assume that he rents the room he occupies while I rent the room I occupy?

I would think you know what you rented.

anyway, if the other guy rents from the same LL as you, you have no right to demand the BF leave or the roommate give notice. He is not your tenant so you have no control over him or his guest. If the LL wants to do something about it, he can. If he doesn't, you can either live with the situation or look for another place to live.
