My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: New York
In August of 2010, I was pulled over for drinking and driving. After a few months of court dates, I was able to reduce my crime from a DWI to a DWAI. I was issued a restricted license in January 2011 which allows me to go to school, work and appointments. I won't be able to get my full license back from a year of my conviction which will be January of 2012. However, tonight on my way home from school, I was pulled over for doing a 46 in a 30. The officer issued me a standard speeding ticket because I was on route from school to home, so I did not violate my terms of restriction. However, I am very nervous about what this speeding ticket will do to my already restricted license. The officer was really nice about the ticket, and acknowledged that I was on route so there was no problem with being anywhere else than from where I was supposed to be. I do not want to lose my driving privelidges to school, work or appointments. Any advice, help or suggestions? Thank You.
