    If the trustee was not informed (or, if you prefer, reminded) of the omission until after the case was closed, it seems quite possible that he'll petition to reopen the case. We have no information about how much debt is involved or the size of the inheritance. You're represented by a lawyer who knows the details of your case, so your lawyer is the person best positioned to answer your questions.

    Thank you for the response. I do sincerely appreciate it. It was probably just more wishful thinking than anything on my part. Since no information was withheld was withhelf from him, and he literally had all the information in front of him, yet still deemed it a no asset case, I was hoping there'd be some sort of "double jeapordy" type situation. Obviously not. Again, thank you for your input!

    11 U.S.C. 350(b) states that "a case may be reopened in the court in which such case was closed to administer assets. . ."

    If the asset is not of "inconsequential value" or too "burdensome", the Trustee will move to reopen.
