My question involves criminal law for the state of: florida..... a single mother of 3 has a very rebelious 17 yr old daughter who has been sneaking out,smoking pot,having sex,ect...one day the mother and daughter get into an argument because the mother wanted her daughter to take a pregnacy test...the 17 yr old threw the pregnancy test in her mothers face the punched her mother 4 times in the face at this time the mother rears back and punches her daughter in the nose once...the daughter left and called the police and now the mother is facing battery charges....i need to know if this would be considered battery,child abuse,disipline, or self defense, this mother has romoved the 17 yr old from her house for the sake of the 2 younger children whom are 14 an 11....this mother needs to be around for her other children and needs to know what she is facing
