    The word here is reckless. We always try to drive wrecklessly.

    There's no provision in the Illinois law that allows you to speed, violate passing restrictions, or not otherwise exercise due care just because you're suffering behind a slower moving vehicle.

    You are well advised to consult a lawyer on the reckless charge.

    I agree with flyingron. Those no passing zones exist for a reason. Engineers don't typically install those zones without cause (i.e. poor sight distance, a vertical/horziontal curve). Being stuck behind a slow-moving vehicle is not a good enough reason to risk a head-on collision.
